TREE PLANTING, SHRUBS, FLOWERBEDS
Lakewood Landscaper brings beauty to life! With the perfect blend of flowers, shrubs, and trees, we can accentuate your sense of style and add value to your home. Balance is key here, and the correct use of greenery can bring tremendous improvement to the landscape. Some people prefer perfect symmetry, meaning they want a predictable pattern copied on both sides of the door or patio. Other prefer a flowing and more natural look. Let us know which you prefer, and we can bring it to fruition.
Taller greenery should nearly always be placed toward the back, or farthest away from where it will be primarily viewed. This will create a layered effect and allow you to see everything, making the most of your investment. There is no point in planting low flowers behind a tall shrub, where it will likely never be seen anyway.
Trees are carefully chosen for size, as a tree that is a nice size now, might in 3 years be much too big to have right next to the house or deck. It is very important to keep trees well watered and fertilized after the planting in order to give the roots the energy needed to branch out and take hold quickly. Some larger trees need to be stabilized with stakes until they have put down enough roots to support themselves. Spring is the optimum time to complete any necessary trimming and pruning, just before they start greening for the summer.
Evergreen shrub plantings are great because they offer year-round color when everything else is dormant and brown. These can be trimmed into many different lovely shapes. Shrubs are also used for a natural privacy fence or screen, and a dense thicket of greenery even serves as an excellent windbreak to keep those cold winds out of your yard.
Vines serve as an excellent ground cover between larger bushes and flowers add a vibrant splash of color during the spring and summer. These are best planted in mulch, as it is easier to dig in, and retains moisture, unlike rock beds. We can also plant flowers in pots and portable planters, allowing you to move them around as you like or even inside when it gets cold. We can also plant cactus if that's what you like, as long as the climate permits it.
We also have many types of plants available that can survive with very little water. These are a great idea in water conservation efforts and dry climates.
We at Landscaper in Lakewood Colorado seek to always use the highest quality plant stock to ensure gorgeous foliage around your dwelling. Invite us to boost the value of your home by installing beautiful flora!
